How We Support Military Organizations

American Industrial’s owner, Bob Gordon, is a veteran who served during the Vietnam War era. Army Reserves. Transportation Unit. 1966 to 1972. So, Bob knows firsthand how important it is for our troops to have reliable equipment while protecting our country.

That’s why we’re happy to step up any time we have the chance to work with the U.S. military.

The Joint Robotics Repair Fielding (JRRF) Task Force

At the height of the Iraq war, we partnered with JRRF to repair unmanned robotic vehicles that provided forward observation, detected and removed mines, and cleared buildings to protect our troops.

We kept more than 300 units in the fight by repairing damaged arm assemblies, camera units, "briefcase" control centers and mobile battery chargers.

Even after the fighting slowed, that equipment continued to serve Americans. The military sold many of those units to law enforcement agencies to assist first responders.

Military Hospitals

Central Arkansas Veteran’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas and William Beaumont Army Hospital in El Paso, Texas needed five Cognex handheld barcode readers repaired. The cost of one new reader is $3,666.

We repaired the barcode readers for $860 each, saving the two hospitals $14,033. They also received our one-year in-service warranty, instead of the manufacturer’s 90-day warranty.

Our Story

We’re a certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Certified Veteran Enterprise (CVE).

To qualify for those certifications, a company must be owned by a veteran who works full-time in the business, holds the highest officer position and controls management and day-to-day operations. Following qualification, the company must submit numerous records to the Department of Veteran’s Affairs to complete the process.

We spent 14 months working through the certification process and have been certified since May 2021.

“Since we’re VOSB-CVE certified, the government and military organizations can trust that we understand them and their needs,” said Bob. “We’re excited to continue working closely with our brave men and women on the front lines.”
