Timken Bearing Partnership: How We Reduce Cost and Maximize Uptime

Since 2009, we’ve provided a Timken Bearing facility with quality, reliable repairs.

Before that time, their maintenance staff performed rebuilds onsite, which was neither cost-effective nor timely. By switching to an off-site repair facility with dedicated technicians, Timken reduced their overhead while allowing maintenance to focus on machine uptime.

At American Industrial, we also provided multiple on-site training sessions for their maintenance team and machine operators to ensure equipment was being installed and operated properly, reducing crashes and pre-mature failures. After getting to know their operating environment, we were able to provide custom setup, gauge configurations and testing protocols to optimize their gauges and repair process for their unique applications.

One challenge this facility faced was that their spare gauge heads were deemed obsolete by the OEM almost a decade ago. Our skilled technicians have the experience to keep these legacy products up and running until the plant decides to upgrade. We’ve also provided predictive maintenance costs, saving them from large capital outlays for machine upgrades.
